 The Farmhouse MAILLANE is a attactive peaceful and typically unspoilt French village in the Bouches-du-Rhone Provence. There is a an excellent bakery, grocery and restaurants. Many shops, restaurants and a great Wednesday market in St Remy-de-Provence (4 miles). St Remy, Arles, the Camargue, Les Baux-de-provence, Avignon all within a 10-30 min drive. Day trips to Aix-en-Provence, Marseilles, the Luberon, Nimes, coastal beaches and towns. Avignon: Sumptuous Popes palaces, many excellent restaurants. Boat rides down river to Beaucaire and Arles. 18 hole golf course. St Remy-de-Provence: One of the worlds best preserved Roman ruins "Glanum". Visit the Van Gogh asylum. The Wednesday market is not to be missed. Arles: Roman arena, Van Gogh trail. Nimes: Well preserved Roman buildings, "Maison Carre" temple and "Arenes" which is still used for bulfights.
